How To Be A Success, Or Not
Dear family and friends,
I don't need to be convinced that you can't have it all.
They say that almost everyone has food "sensitivities" now, so I guess I am not the only one who can't eat most of what is offered in restaurants and grocery stores.
Do I cheat? Considering my reactions, that is really out of the question. Well, maybe I will take a tiny bite, or a little sip of something I am supposed to avoid, but that can be a really big mistake.
Some people devote themselves to doing things they shouldn't do because, unlike me, they can get away with it. So why not?
Some people are contrary enough to become obsessed with doing what they shouldn't, like beating their wives, or robbing banks. It doesn't turn out well in the end, but they don't care about the end. They just care about the now.
Deacon Michael talks about obsession, and sex, and Christmas in the sermon of this week.
