Deacon John Michael Weston’s sermons
-
Deacon Michael was a former United States Department of Justice attorney, former self-proclaimed atheist, former outspoken anti-Catholic snob, and devoted husband and father. As a young man he loved to describe himself as “rude, crude, and socially unacceptable.” At the age of 37 everything changed. One night while on vacation with his wife, he experienced a “St. Paul” conversion. After that he devoted the same energy with which he had formerly attacked the Church into delving into the intellectual and actual consequences of living as a Catholic. He loved his faith passionately and never tired of thinking about and living out the implications of being a Catholic. He died unexpectedly on October 25, 2019, at the age of 69. He was well prepared for his entrance into eternal life because of the sacraments brought to him by his many priest friends, and the many prayers offered for him as he lay dying and after his death.
It was always obvious that he poured his heart into these unwritten homilies and we are proud to share them with you.
